The Gildart Writing Prizes honor Robert H. Gildart, professor of creative writing at Albion College for 25 years.
Each year, cash awards of $100, $250 or $500 are given for chosen submissions in the categories of poetry, fiction and drama (up to three awards per category). Students may submit multiple works, but submissions for each category should not exceed 15 pages (25 pages for a drama). Each entry should include a title page with your name, student number and “Gildart Prize 2023.”
This opportunity is only open to students who currently have sophomore standing. Deadline to submit is March 8. Submit to mmorrow@albion.edu or drop your entries off at the English Department (Vulgamore 406).
