The 148th Annual Meeting and Michigan History Conference will be in Albion, Sept. 23 – 25. This weekend more than 200 attendees will be visiting Albion College and the community as they attend this year’s Michigan History Conference.
The Historical Society of Michigan will be arriving Thursday evening with attendees for the conference arriving Friday. The weekend event includes keynote presentations (including archivist Elizabeth Palmer, ’10), intriguing breakout sessions (presentations by our own faculty), one-of-a-kind tours (led by Jim Whitehouse, ’69), workshops, dining, and an exhibit hall.
Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to visit the exhibit hall located in the Science Atrium on Saturday, Sept 24 from 8:30am-5:00pm. The exhibitors will feature tables from major university presses, local sponsors, and partnering institutions. Unique resources like the Clarke Historical Library at Central Michigan University and the Library of Michigan also will be present.
Let’s welcome them to Albion College as they make Albion a historical destination place this weekend!
