Take a Breath: A Quick Study Opportunity!

Hello! I’m conducting a short psychology study called “Take a Breath”, and I’d love for you to participate! It’s a simple 15-minute study that explores how different breathing techniques can affect the body. 

By taking part, you’ll earn 15 minutes of study credits—and I would be so grateful for your help in supporting this research! Your participation will provide valuable insights into the science of mindfulness. The study is quick, easy, and will only take a few minutes of your time. Kappa Delta’s Shamrock!

On Saturday, November 16th, Kappa Delta will be hosting its annual Shamrock event. This year, there will be a pancake brunch at the KD Lodge from 11:00 am-2:30 pm! (Behind Baldwin.) Proceeds will be donated to KD’s philanthropy; Prevent Child Abuse America! In addition to selling tickets during the week, you will also be able to purchase a ticket the day of at the following prices:

  • Regular ticket: $5. This will buy two pancakes and a drink
  • Adding breakfast meat: $8. This will get two pancakes, a drink, and two pieces of sausage
  • Double pancake: $10. This will buy four pancakes, a drink, and two pieces of sausage

Please come help us grow our donation to Preventing Child Abuse!

Critical Language Scholarship for summer 2025

Want to learn a critical language for no cost to you? Apply for the Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) SPARK program!. If accepted, you would spend 8 weeks this summer learning through online classes and activities from native speakers. This also gives you preference to apply for the CLS Program abroad for summer 2026.
Language options: Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, Swahili, Turkish, Urdu.

Kappa Delta’s Pinwheel Walk

As part of Shamrock Week, Kappa Delta will be doing our pinwheel walk! Anyone wishing to participate in the walk should meet at the Kresge gymnasium steps at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, November 12th. There will be a short speech from a representative of a local Prevent Child Abuse America chapter and then a walk to help raise awareness!
