The Revolution Will Not Be Litigated: Movements for Human Rights and Climate Justice

Albion College welcomes Katie Redford, Esq. as the keynote speaker for the Challenging Borders Conference, Sunday, April 30 at 7 p.m. at the Bohm Theatre. Redford will speak at the free public lecture on the struggle for human rights and climate justice. She is an American human rights lawyer and activist and executive director of The Equation Campaign, a funding initiative that supports the climate movement by funding resistance on the ground and diminishing the industry’s sources of financial support, and making grants for strategic litigation and the legal defense of activists. The “Taste of Albion” dessert reception, featuring taste treats from local restaurants, will happen immediately following the lecture at the Courtyard by Marriott. These events are co-sponsored by the Center for the Sustainability and the Environment, the Gerald R. Ford Institute for Public Policy and Service, the Albion Human Rights Lab, and the Department of Political Science
