WNC Summer Assistant

The Whitehouse Nature Center is looking for students interested in serving as WNC Assistants this summer. An entry-level paid position sponsored by AmeriCorps, the WNC assistantship offers students opportunities to deliver quality nature-based outdoor camp programs for local elementary and middle school-aged children and teach hands-on outdoor education explorations and lessons in sustainability and environmentalism. Student assistants will be responsible for planning and leading recreational activities including water activities, hikes, trail explorations, bird watching, arts and crafts, sports, games, etc. They will supervise campers and ensure their safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being. They will also support the overall mission and goals of the Whitehouse Nature Center and perform other related duties as required. To apply, please visit Handshake.
