The annual Albion Community Day is Sept. 9 from 9 a.m. – noon. The event begins at the Ludington Center and will offer a variety of service projects such as garbage removal, weeding and painting. Project locations include Victory Park, Holland Park, Weatherford Gardens and Stouffer Plaza. Pizza will be provided after the event at noon. Volunteers will get a free T-shirt! Participants should wear comfortable clothing, work shoes and apply sunscreen. The group will be walking to the service locations so comfortable shoes are important. This event is sponsored by the School for Public Purpose and Professional Advancement, the Center for Sustainability and the Environment, the Gerald R. Ford Institute for Leadership in Public Policy and Service, the James L. Curtis Institute for Race and Belonging, AmeriCorps and the Student Volunteer Bureau. Participants will need to register for this event. Questions can be directed to Chrissy Pfeil at cpfeil@albion.edu.
