Join Albion College Spiritual Life and local clergy for a Blessing of the Animals event Friday, October 4th from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. We will gather on First United Methodist Church’s west-side lawn, near the arch off Oswego Street. We will have a short service of blessing at noon, drop-in blessing time until 2:00, a fundraising/info table for the Friends of Albion’s Animals rescue, and a memorial craft. A Blessing of the Animals service is a beautiful way to acknowledge our interdependence with the rest of nature/Creation and celebrate our animal friends.
Well-behaved animals who are up-to-date on their required vaccinations are welcome to attend this event and receive a blessing in-person. If your animal companion cannot attend safely, please something to represent them for blessing instead, like a picture. See detailed guidelines here.
