Apply to become a Peer Writing Consultant

The Albion College Writing Consulting program is hiring Peer Writing Consultants for the 2023-24 academic year! As a Peer Writing Consultant, you will develop a deeper understanding of academic writing conventions and diverse rhetorical contexts by talking with fellow students about their writing—at any stage of the process and for courses across the curriculum. Students of all majors (sophomores through seniors) who are curious about language, learning, and writing are encouraged to apply.

Apply on Handshake.

If you have any questions, email Angela Zito (Director of Writing Consulting).

Call for community engaged courses at Albion

Do you teach a course that requires students to engage with the Albion community? Do you facilitate Albion-based service or research projects with students in your classroom? If so, we would like to feature this community-engaged course!

My name is Kalli Onai, and I am working on a Community Engaged Learning course catalog to document all existing academic courses that provide students an opportunity to intentionally connect with the community of Albion through service and/or research. Examples of this work include, but are not limited to: volunteering and service projects, visiting historical artifacts, community research projects, etc.  If you offer a course that fits this scope, please answer this Google Form to provide more information for the catalog. All courses will need to be submitted by October 20th at the latest to be featured in the 2023-2024 Catalog year. This project is a part of the Community Engaged Learning Initiative sponsored by a grant from the Bonner Foundation.

Financial aid available for 2023-24

The Financial Aid Office has packaged aid for the upcoming school year. Log into MyAlbion to view your information under the Student Finance section. From here, you can accept or decline your federal aid such as loans and work study.

If you have filed your 2023-24 FAFSA but do not have federal aid on your account, there may be an issue with your FAFSA. You can review any outstanding requirements in MyAlbion. If you have additional questions., email financialaid@albion.edu for help in determining what steps need to be completed.

There is still time to file your FAFSA if you haven’t already. Get started at fafsa.gov.
