Take a walk with the ornithologists (Dale Kennedy & Doug White) at Whitehouse Nature Center. Sunday October 6 at 10 am.

Please dress for the weather! Some binoculars and field guides are available for use during the walk, please stop in to the visitor’s center for them

FURSCA INFORMATIONAL SESSION

Interested in doing research? Please join us for the FURSCA informational session October 8 at 7pm in Bobbitt Auditorium. The FURSCA team will review the basics of the program and the application process! We will answer any and all questions that you have. While this event is geared towards students, faculty and staff are welcomed and encouraged to attend. Snacks will be provided.

October is BIG READ MONTH!! (Updated Information)

Albion’s Big Read creates a context of joy in which young people experience the relevance and community-making power of books. We do that by way of our summer program that brings Albion 8th-10th graders to Albion College. We have multiple free events happening this October, and we hope you will take this opportunity to integrate with the community, show our leaders love and support, and join us!

What does your Hispanic heritage mean to you? Come write about it at the Writing Center!!

Join the Organization of Latinx Awareness this Thursday ,October 3rd at the Writing Center for our weekly meeting. We will have papers in which people of all different backgrounds can write what language means to them. Students can share authors , quotes ,poems or even a statement of what being  Latinx means to them. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out and email the president or vice president.

Walk-A-Mile 2024

Join Alpha Chi Omega in our annual Walk-A-Mile on Friday, October 18th at 6 pm on the quad. Walk-A-Mile represents walking a mile in the shoes of survivors of domestic violence. This event helps to bring awareness and educates members of the Albion College community about intimate partner violence and resources that are available for them here on campus and locally in our community. We will be partnering with S.A.F.E. Place a local shelter in Battle Creek for those who have suffered from domestic violence.  All donations go to S.A.F.E. Place. Additionally, tabling will take place at the KC from 11-2 pm on the 16th, 17th, and 18th of October.

Accounting Society – Bond & Company, CPAs and Gerstacker

On October 8, from 4:15 to 5:15 pm in Rob 206 Accounting Society will host members of Bond & Company. Bond & Company is a CPA firm located in Jackson, MI. They will be discussing professionalism in workplace and communications. This meeting is open to everyone.
