Student Accounting Hold (AR)

Notices from Student Accounting have been sent via email to accounts that fall under the following criteria:

  • Balance over $1,250.00
  • Over $1,250 and not enrolled in a payment plan
  • Over $1,250, enrolled in a payment plan, but has missed payments.

Students who have received this email have been notified that their account is on hold preventing them from registering for Summer and Fall 2024 classes. If the student is graduating this summer this will also hold their diploma.

They have also received links to view and pay their eBill in TouchNet as well as phone (517-629-0507), email (accounting@albion.edu) and physical location information for Student Accounting so that we may work to find a positive resolution.

Grand Rapids Art Museum Free Trip 3/9

The Grand Rapids Art Museum and the Hispanic Center of Western Michigan presents Border Cantos/Sonic Border art exhibit.

TRIO is sponsoring a trip this Saturday, March 9, to see this exhibit and others in the art museum. There will also be time to grab lunch on your own in downtown Grand Rapids before heading back to Albion. You don’t have to be in TRIO to attend.

We will leave Albion at 9:30 a.m. and return by 5 p.m. Space is limited so sign up soon and save your spot.

“Know My Name” Book Club and Chanel Miller Speaking Event

Join our Monday evening book club at the Anna Howard Shaw Center for Gender Equity! Explore the intricacies of advocacy, systemic challenges, and campus culture surrounding sexual assault. Following the final Monday night session of the book club, seven participating students will be invited to attend the Sexual Assault Services Benefit on April 4, where Chanel Miller will be speaking. Snacks provided at all sessions of the book club for those who register at least seven days in advance.

Due TOMORROW – 2024 Recent Graduate Student Trustee Applications

Applications for the 2024 Recent Graduate Student Trustee Position are currently being accepted. This is a 2-year position on the Albion College Board of Trustees. Students who will be May 2024 graduates or who graduated early in December 2023 are encouraged to apply.

Students interested in applying should review the position description and application which are available at the Kellogg Center Information Desk and through the Student Development Office.

Applications and supporting material must be submitted to the Office of Student Development, Ferguson Hall, Suite 216 or StudentDevelopment@Albion.edu before 5 p.m. EST on Friday, March 1, 2024.

Free Trip to the Gerald Ford Museum

The History club is sponsoring a trip to the Gerald Ford Museum in Grand Rapids on Saturday, March 16. Transportation is provided. We will be leaving campus at 11:45 a.m. and returning around 6:45 p.m. Tickets are limited! Please contact Emily Abramczyk at era13@albion.edu if you can and want to attend. If you confirm a spot for this trip, you are expected to attend on March 16 since we will not be able to get ticket refunds.
