Celebrate Holi with ACE and Union Board

Holi is a festival celebrated as the Festival of Colors, Good over Evil, Love, and Spring. At the Umbrella house this Thursday.March 16 from 5 – 7 p.m., ACE and UB will be collaborating together to celebrate with students. There will be many activities to do for Holi: Face painting, tote painting, photo booth, throwing colored powders, and free food! Free shirts will be provided based on a first-come, first-served basis. We are excited to see everyone!

ENGL 208: Professional Writing is available this SUMMER as a fully online, asynchronous course. The class is designed to work into your schedule, especially if you plan on working any kind of job or internship. ENGL 208 offers the perfect opportunity to actively practice what you’re learning about week-by-week. If you’re in one of the programs mentioned above, it can be a great way to take care of a required or elective unit. All students in all programs are welcome to join! 2023 Look Writing Retreat

Join the School for Public Purpose for a day filled with personal and professional exploration Thursday, March 23 at the 2023 Look Writing Retreat. This year’s theme is Professional Writing: The Art of Intentional Career Pursuit. Workshops include post-graduation life planning for first-generation graduates, guidance with law school professional statement creation, analyzing job advertisements, learning effective online communication skills, and more! FREE Motivational Lecture and Concert!

If you are feeling the mid-semester blues, join the School for Public Purpose for a free Motivational Lecture and Concert with hip-hop and spoken word artist Mama Sol! This concert will be Thursday, March 23 at 6 p.m. in the Science Atrium. This event will wrap up the 2023 Look Writing Retreat. Sol’s electrifying message of finding power in your voice will carry you far, personally and professionally. For a taste of what’s to come, check out this video! Human Rights Advocacy Workshop Date Change

Please not that the date has changed for the Human Rights Lab’s Advocacy Workshop. It will be Sunday, March 26t, from 1-3 pm on the second floor of the KC. Free pizza lunch will be provided! This interactive workshop will teach participants about human rights, how these rights impact their local communities, and what they can do to make a difference. Attendees will be given the tools necessary to advocate for the social justice issues closest to them, and walk away feeling empowered to enact positive change. Kappa Delta Shamrock Tabling

This week is Shamrock week for Kappa Delta, which is our philanthropy event for Prevent Child Abuse America! This week we’ll be tabling in the KC from Monday-Thursday to sell tickets for our Shamrock Greek Game Show and sell PCAA Awareness ribbons for $1 each.
