Come canoe the Kalamazoo River in downtown Albion this Friday during the Festival of the Forks.
In the afternoon of the first day of the festival, Friday September 20th, festival-goers will have a chance to experience Albion from the river. On a first-come-first-served basis, people will launch from the Porter Street Canoe Launch, float 1/2 mile downstream where they will take out just past Superior st. Canoes, paddles and life preservers will be provided.
Please join us between 3-6 pm for the opportunity to paddle down the Kalamazoo River!
The Center for Sustainability and the Environment (CSE) at Albion College is partnering with the Kalamazoo Watershed Council, the Calhoun County Conservation District, Barry Calhoun Kalamazoo Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area (BCK CISMA) and the Calhoun County Trailway Alliance to provide this opportunity.
