Looking for a yearbook advisor

The Albion College Yearbook, also known as the Albionian, is looking for an advisor. The position will work to actively get students involved in the yearbook creation process, as well as provide guidance and direction to the student-run publication. 

If you are interested in being an advisor, or even co-advisor, on the yearbook, please email Media Board Chair Sarah Noah (snoah@albion.edu) outlining your interest.

Annual Library Halloween costume contest

Join us on the main floor of Mudd for the Library’s Annual Costume Contest on Tuesday, October 31th at 1pm. We will have refreshments and treats from the cauldron and celebrity judges will select a winner. If you are unable to come at 1pm, stop by the Mudd desk for a spell to have your photo taken from 9am – noon to enter. EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

Chat with seminary representative about ministry, LGBTQ inclusion today

Sara Babcock, director of admissions at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, will visit Albion College today, Monday, October 23rd. She will hang out at Reading Between the Grinds (library) to chat about seminary (graduate education in religion/ministry) and LGBTQIA+ inclusion in Christian spaces from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m.  You can also set up a meeting with her for another time. Buddhist meditation, Q&A with local Monk today

Today at 5:00 P.M., Prior Chiezan Tomczyk of the SokukoJi Buddhist Temple Monastery in Battle Creek will lead a guided meditation and answer questions about Buddhism, including basics, what it is like to be a Buddhist monk in his order, and how to apply meditation ‘off the cushion’. The session will be held in the Umbrella House basement. Whether you are new to meditation, a practicing Buddhist, or just curious about Buddhism, all are welcome.
