Get ready to step back in time for a spooktacular night at the Black Student Alliance’s 90s Halloween Party!

This fun-filled event invites everyone to celebrate the vibrant spirit of the 90s while enjoying a festive Halloween atmosphere. While we encourage you to channel your favorite 90s character, all Halloween costumes are welcome! Come dressed to impress; whether you’re channeling your inner Fresh Prince or showcasing your unique spooky style, there’s something for everyone.

I-SPACE OPEN HOUSE TODAY, OCT. 17, 7-8:30PM

Come tonight to an open house/party at DEAN HALL.  The residents have planned some activities, and their will be music, food and prizes.

Come tour the house and see what living in the I-SPACE could be like for you.  The I-Space is a living and learning environment in Dean Hall for students studying or wanting to learn French, German or Spanish.  You can even earn credit while practicing your target language and participating in weekly cultural activities and language tables.

A shuttle will transport you to and from Dean Hall.  You can catch it on Cass Street at Vulgamore Hall at 6:50pm, 7:20pm and 7:50pm.

Mum SALE to benefit Equestrian

The Held Equestrian Center has 80 potted flowering mums that are being used for our home Hunt Seat team competition this Saturday, Oct 19. You can come support our Briton riders (9am-2pm) and purchase mums to help benefit the Equestrian Center. The price is $15 for one, or $25 for two. (These are the nice double-size plants that are going for $17-$20 at stores/nurseries.) Available in yellow, purple, and maroon while supplies last. You can pick them up at the conclusion of the horse show on Saturday, Oct. 19 (approx 2pm), or during business hours 8am-5pm Oct. 21-25. Cash, check or card accepted.

25th Annual Marilyn Crandell Schleg Memorial Lecture

Please join us at 7pm in Bobbitt Auditorium Tuesday October 22 for the 25th Annual Marilyn Crandell Schleg Memorial Lecture organized by the Albion College Archives. Mackinac State Historic Parks director emeritus Phil Porter will discuss how his organization uses a wide variety of resources including library and archival materials, research reports, oral histories, and archaeological discoveries to create informative and entertaining public programs. Mr. Porter will weave information about his 50-year career at Mackinac State Historic Parks and in the history museum field into his illustrated lecture. This event is free and open to the public! Today – Special Meditation/Q & A with Local Buddhist Monk

This evening (Thursday, October 17th) at 7:00 p.m., Prior Chiezan Tomczyk of the SokukoJi Buddhist Temple Monastery in Battle Creek will lead a guided meditation and answer questions about Buddhism, including basics, what it is like to be a Buddhist monk in his order, and how to apply meditation ‘off the cushion’.

The session will be held in Kellogg 405. Whether you are new to meditation, a practicing Buddhist, or just curious about Buddhism, all are welcome. Snacks will be provided.

Last Chance to Paddle! Final Two Weeks of Boathouse Hours!

AmeriCorps and the CSE are excited to announce the final two weeks of open hours at the boathouse for the fall semester. To stay updated on the schedule, please refer to the Beese-Havens Boathouse Google Calendar. As the weather gets cooler, be sure to check the temperature and dress appropriately. Lifejackets will offer some warmth, and we also have a limited supply of water shoes available.
