Building Bridges with Nathan Bomey

On Thursday, September 19, at 7:00 pm in Bobbitt Auditorium, the Ford Institute invites you to join author Nathan Bomey as he discusses his book, <i>Bridge Builders: Bringing People Together in a Polarized Age</i>.

<div>Nathan is a former reporter for the <i>Detroit Free Press </i>and <i>USA Today</i> and is currently a business reporter for Axios.  <i>Bridge Builders</i>, his latest of three books, focuses on the stories of counterculture leaders working to unite communities and bring about profound social change.</div>

Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar, Ingrid Daubechies Lecture

Part of a joint effort of the Physics, Math & Computer Science and the Art & Art History Department’s, Physicist and Mathmatician, Ingrid Daubechies will give a lecture on her collaborative, visual installation Mathemalchemy!  Join us Monday, Sept 16 at 7pm in Norris 101 to hear about a project that brought together 24 mathematicians and artist to create an installation embracing the long connection between math and art.
