This soft, unisex crewneck sweatshirt gives you the chance to show your support of the Albion College Pleiad throughout the year with a design created by current Managing Editor, Bonnie Lord, to celebrate the Pleiad‘s investigative spirit and long history of excellence in training journalists and other young professionals.

Part of your $35 sweatshirt purchase makes a tax-deductible gift to support professional development opportunities for Pleiad staff members.

Orders will be accepted until Homecoming, with limited pick-up on campus at the October 5 Pleiad Open House while supplies last. Shipping is also available for an additional $7.

Wilson Institute for Medicine Fall Welcome Event

Join the staff of the Wilson Institute for Medicine on Tuesday, September 10th from 7:30 – 9 PM in the Science Complex Atrium to learn more about the Wilson Institute. Meet other pre-health students, earn free gifts, and enjoy a meal on us. This event is for current Wilson members as well as students who would like to learn more about joining the Institute.

IM Pickleball Information & Sign Up

Attention anybody interested in playing IM Pickleball this fall. 

Number of Players – 2 per team, This is an open division; teams can be made up of any combination of players.(both male, both female, Co-Ed)

Number of Teams – 16 teams

Where – Dow Center

When – Wednesday nights 7-9pm

Length of Season – 5 – 7 weeks

Start Date – 10/2

To Sign Up – Email Coach Rehberg at drehberg@albion.edu the names of the individuals that will be on a team and include email addresses.  The first 16 teams that sign up are guarantee spots, after that teams will be put on a waitlist.

Up, Up, and Bid Away! Join Kids ‘N’ Stuff for a Magical Night of Auctions, Adventure, and Entertainment

The staff and board at Kids ‘N’ Stuff are gearing up to host the museum’s largest fundraiser of the year, Bids ‘N’ Stuff. Primarily a live and silent auction, the event offers an array of items for attendees to bid on.  The theme for this year’s event is, Up, Up, and Away, so visitors can expect to engage with exciting activities befitting to the theme (hint, a hot air balloon or two)!
The host for the evening is celebrity and award-winning magician, Daniel Martin. Daniel has been awarded “Best Variety Artist” & “Best Male Performer” as well as the coveted
“Entertainer of the Year” award.
His awarding winning magic has been seen on the BBC’s “NOW YOU SEE IT“, NETFLIX, Disney+, NBC, and Discovery.
The event will take place on September 14th, from 6-9pm in Stoffer Plaza. Tickets are on sale now, including a new VIP option. For additional details visit the Kids ‘N’ Stuff Children’s Museum website. All proceeds from the event support operations for the non-profit community museum.

Student Senate Elections

Are you a student that wants to be more involved and make changes on campus?

Become a Student Senator!

Student Senate meets every Wednesday @ 8pm in the Kellogg Center on the 3rd floor.

Applications are now open: First-Year and Transfer Students Election [Application Link], and Special Election (2nd-4th year students) [Application Link].

All you have to do is print out the correct petition which includes collecting 50 signatures from your fellow peers and a 100 word paragraph explaining your interest in serving on Student Senate – detailed in the timeline on each form.

Return completed forms to the ‘Turn In’ bin outside the Student Senate Office on the 4th floor of the KC room 444.

The application deadline is September 18th @ noon.
