Healthy Hustle with Eric

Have you been looking for a fitness class with a mix of deep stretching, cardio and weight lifting on campus? We now have one. Join Eric at the DOW Multi Purpose room on Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. for a student led fitness class. Eric will begin with some deep stretching and discussion on nutrition, move onto cardio and weights. First class starts on Wednesday, Feb. 14.

Cookies and Carnations with AXO

Come join the sisters of Alpha Chi Omega in celebrating Healthy Relationships Week! We will be tabling in the Kellogg Center on Feb. 13 and 14, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. We will be selling various cookies for $1 and red carnations for $2. CSE/AmeriCorps Thrift Fair

Albion College’s Center for Sustainability and the Environment (CSE) and Albion College AmeriCorps, are hosting their annual Thrift Fair. Join us Thursday, Feb. 22 through Saturday, Feb. 24, from 12 – 7 p.m. at the Ludington Center. Prices will range from $3 – $8.

This event is a student project and aims to promote sustainable and affordable clothing consumption in response to fast fashion. We have had an amazing amount of donations and thank all of you who have supported this project thus far. The proceeds made from this event will go towards the CSE Green Fund and Albion community organizations, including the Albion Community Gardens. CSE’s Green Fund provides financial support for student sustainability and environmental projects in the community and on campus.

Athens Democracy Forum

Athens Democracy Forum 2024, “A Moment of Truth,” will be held Oct. 1 – 4, 2024. The Global Liberal Arts Alliance (GLCA) is sending one student from each affiliate campus. If you are interested in participating in the campus competition to be selected as an Albion delegate in the forum in Greece, please contact Dr. Midori Yoshii [myoshii@albion.edu] to obtain the detailed description of the program and an application form. The campus deadline for submitting your application, which includes your essays, is Monday, March 25, 5 p.m.

Albion College’s delegate last year, Kara Anderson, will present her experience participating in the Athens Democracy Forum 2023 on Monday, March 18, 5 – 6 p.m. in Bobbitt Auditorium. All are welcome to attend Kara’s talk on her amazing experience engaging with the world leaders from around the globe.
