Live Michigan Birds of Prey!

Francis Krawcke, Executive Director of the Michigan Avian Experience (a wildlife refuge in Brooklyn, MI) presents live birds of prey! Join Albion’s Ornithology students (BIOL 248) as we meet four Michigan raptors (red-tailed hawk, eastern screech-owl, bald eagle, American kestrel) and discuss their remarkable behaviors and survival adaptations. We will learn about flight, physical structures, feather types, and wing shapes by observing live birds. Our focus will be understanding how to protect and conserve raptors you can find right in your backyard. This event is free and open to anyone interested! Hosted by Albion Biology Department.

The show runs Monday March 18, from 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. in Upper Baldwin Ballroom.
