You are invited to participate in a research study investigating the effects of caffeine on sprint performance in healthy college students. The study requires that you participate in two sprinting tests on two separate days at the indoor track of the Dow (about 30 minutes/visit).
First visit: Complete pre-testing and a sprinting test.
Second visit (within 4 – 5 days of the first testing visit and will be scheduled within 2 hours of the original testing session): Complete the same pre-testing and then be randomly assigned to chew caffeinated or non-caffeinated gum prior to the sprinting tests.
Please refrain from consuming caffeine for 24 hours prior to each testing session. To qualify you must be 18 – 25 years old, have no chronic diseases or current or recent (within the past six months) lower extremity musculoskeletal injuries. Thursday is your LAST CHANCE to attend “Drawing Together”! We’ll be gathering at 7 p.m. on Thursday in the Mudd Library Living Room.
With finals approaching, this “Drawing Together” is a bit of a free-for-all. Of course, we’ll have the usual supplies: paper, markers, crayons, coloring pencils, books to check out from the Albion College Graphic Medicine Collection, and SNACKS. But we’ll also have coloring-book pages! And we’ll make an 8-page mini-zine!
Feel free to bring your favorite drawing supplies, bring some of your favorite comics or samples of your art, and bring your friends — whether joining us again or for the first time. As always, everyone is welcome and zero artistic skills are required.
Let’s brush off some of our late-semester stress by drawing together one last time!
