The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (BUS 387), sponsored by the Internal Revenue Service, IRS, is looking for volunteers. The program’s mission is to provide free tax preparation to low-income taxpayers in the Albion community. Using IRS-supplied software, student volunteers will receive valuable, hands-on tax preparation experience under the supervision of Albion College Accounting faculty. This experiential learning program is open to all majors and can be particularly helpful to those interested in Accounting, Actuarial Science and Finance. This program is also a great resume builder and provides students with real-world experience that can be discussed during interviews for internships and full-time employment. The duration of the program is from the first week in February to the second week in April 2024.
